Bringing to life, transmitting and sharing a repertoire
Temps Present pour la Danse is a structure dedicated to the transmission, circulation and future of Thierry Malandain’s choreographic repertoire.
From the 2026-2027 season, Temps Present pour la Danse aims to ensure the transmission, dissemination and structuring of a major neoclassical repertoire, while developing educational and professional actions serving the choreographic field and audiences, in a logic of general interest.
Three axes structure the actions of Present Time for Dance:
CREATIONS, DIRECTORY & TRANSMISSIONS
The choreographic repertoire of Thierry Malandain constitutes a living heritage, built over more than forty years of creation.
Temps Present pour la Danse organizes its transmission to national and international companies, training structures and artistic institutions, while supporting the creative projects carried out by the choreographer.
Each reassembly or project is part of a demanding artistic framework, guaranteeing the stylistic integrity of the works and the coherence of their development. audiences.
A WORK AS AN EDUCATIONAL TOOL
The work of Thierry Malandain constitutes a privileged support for understanding the processes of choreographic creation and the relationships between dance, music and interpretation.
Temps Present pour la Danse develops devices allowing to facilitate access, through mediation tools, educational resources and transmission actions.
These formats are aimed at various audiences (pupils, students, teachers and spectators) and aim to make the construction of a ballet understandable, without simplifying its issues.
TRAINING & ATTENTION TO THE CHOREOGRAPHIC SECTOR
Temps Present pour la Danse places its action within a broader reflection on the transmission of knowledge and the evolution of dance professions.
Particular attention is paid to the functions of artistic direction and transmission of repertoire, in particular through the development of an experimental module for ballet masters.
Beyond this system, the association wishes to contribute to a better structuring of the choreographic sector, in line with the professional realities of the sector.
